Flaming Gorge

Today we took the short hop to Rock Springs, WY. After we got into our campground and got to looking at the local map we noticed that it was not too far to the Flaming Gorge National Recreational area.

Flaming Gorge Lake, enclosed by brightly colored canyon walls and set amidst hundreds of thousands of acres of forested hills, makes up the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area.

This looked like our kind of scenic byway. The drive around the Gorge and lake ended up being almost 200 miles but it was worth it.
